Orthotics & Foot Pain

Common foot problems

Many foot, ankle or lower limb problems are due in part to altered foot and ankle biomechanics (positioning)

Kelly & Laura are both experienced in the accurate assessment, diagnosis and management of a wide range of foot and ankle problems including

  • Plantar Fasciitis (heel spurs)

  • Achilles Tendon problems

  • ‘Flat feet’, ‘high arches’ and ‘over pronation’ are all terms used to describe foot positions that sometimes cause pain and may benefit from the correct prescription of orthotics.

  • Ankle and foot ligament sprains

  • Osteoarthritis of the feet and ankles

  • Post fracture rehabilitation

  • Sever’s Disease (heel pain commonly seen in adolescents)

What are orthotics?

Orthotics are shoe inserts used to correct the alignment of the foot which may in turn help with ankle, knee and hip alignment and associated problems such as calf pain, knee pain, shin splints and even ’growing pains’ in children.

Expert fitting is essential

We supply and fit custom moulded orthotics which come in different densities and sizes, suitable for very young children, adults and the elderly as well as athletes. We have a strong working relationship with the Podiatrists from ‘Ankle and Foot Health Group’ who regularly visit Jurien Bay and we’re happy to refer patients on to them should further expert help be required.
