Dry Needling / Acupuncture

What is dry needling?

Dry Needling is a type of acupuncture that involves the insertion of a fine, stainless steel needle into a ‘trigger point’. Trigger points are specific areas of tightness within muscles or fascial tissue which may cause pain, locally or referred, and limit movement.

Dry Needling is safe and effective

Dry Needling techniques may be included as part of your overall physiotherapy management. It is a safe and effective treatment which can provide pain relief by increasing the local blood flow, relaxing the muscle and decreasing trigger point overactivity.

Kelly & Laura have both completed specialised acupuncture training courses over the last 15 years to offer you safe and effective treatment. We use disposable, sterile, stainless steel needles which are inserted into specific trigger points that will be determined following a thorough assessment by your physiotherapist.
